What exactly do you sell?
I sell design and branding solutions, intended to help businesses and organizations set themselves apart from their competition, increase profits and engage their customer base.
You can view a list of specific deliverables here.
How much do you charge?
Because I provide custom solutions for each individual client, it’s virtually impossible to provide pricing beforehand. How much I charge depends upon several factors including the specific needs of the client. However, I’m happy to provide a quote after learning more about your project.
If you appreciate the value of good design, let’s talk.
Why do you want to know my budget?
When an architect designs a house, he needs to understand the intended use, location and budget for the finished structure. He can then choose materials and finishes which best suit the homeowner’s needs. Like the architect, I propose solutions based on several factors including audience, competitive landscape and desired outcome. Along with those things, I need to understand your budgetary limitations, so that I don’t waste time proposing ideas which you cannot afford to implement.
So and so charges less. Can you match them?
No. Design is not a commodity. In other words, you can’t compare apples to oranges to determine the best designer for your project. Just as there’s a difference between a Yugo and a BMW, there is a difference among designers. A designer should be selected based upon their ability to meet your needs, not price alone.
What are your payment terms?
With most projects I request a 30% downpayment prior to scheduling the work, an additional 30% at a determined mid-point and the remaining portion upon completion of the project. Complete details are included in my invoice.
I currently accept payment by check or money order only. If you desire to make payments via another source, then we can discuss those options during our initial meetings.
Can you make my design look similar to this?
Why yes I can, but is that really the best solution for your particular needs? It’s more difficult and timely, but much more rewarding, if the design focuses on engaging your targeted audience and achieving the results you desire.
I simply need someone to implement my ideas. Why should I hire you?
In short, you shouldn’t…unless of course you see value in the perspective of a seasoned professional, whose singular role is to help you discover effective ways to reach your target audience, help your business leapfrog the competition and increase your revenue.
I just want a brochure. Why do I need this other stuff?
A big part of any designer’s role is helping you diagnose your needs and then prescribing a solution. Perhaps a brochure is the best way to reach your target audience, but perhaps it isn’t. You wouldn’t take your car to a mechanic and insist that he only pump up the tires to fix your rough-running engine. In the same manner, demanding that a designer give you only what you want, will achieve less than satisfactory results.
In order to achieve successful results, we have to trust one another. I’m not in the business of harming my clients — in fact, I want them to succeed beyond their wildest dreams. That means that we must trust one another in order to achieve the results you expect.
I’m very selective about the clients I take on and I work only with those who value the service I provide. If you value someone who will question everything and deliver only results-based solutions, then let’s talk.
How long will the project take to complete?
On average, most projects take anywhere from one to three months. But because each project is created with your specific needs in mind, it’s truly impossible to know how long your project might take until we’ve had time to determine your needs.
Can you start right away?
Possibly, but my focus is always on current clients, and I never accept more than a few projects at any one time. If you think I might be a good fit for a project you’re working on, contact me.
Thank you
