Hi, my name is Tim Blake. I work with you to help develop and grow your brand. This, in turn, allows you to better communicate your ideals and engage your desired audience. My clients say that my solutions are creative, effective and always on target. Consequently, you are better able to engage your customers, raise awareness and differentiate your brand from your competitors. This of course, has a positive effect on your bottom line.
Approach
My approach is rather simple: I ask a lot of probing questions; do loads of research — about your markets and your competition; set up an appropriate plan of action — one suited to your business and budget goals; and only after determining what a well-suited solution should say and do, do I begin thinking about what it should look like. I then propose a solution, with your goals in mind.
Ideology
You’ll notice that I didn’t say that I make things look pretty — that’s merely decorating; nor do I recreate your competitor’s or other designer’s ideas — that’s plagiarism. Besides, if you want to look like your competition, then you may as well close the doors now; and I didn’t imply that I simply carry out your wishes — that’s just lazy. While I’m certain that you have brilliant ideas and your input is crucial to the process, you may not fully understand the nuances involved in reaching your target audience — that’s my job.
Principles
I enjoy working with organizations who want to succeed; who aren’t afraid to stand out from the crowd; who appreciate the value that strategic design provides; and who are willing to put in the extra effort it takes to create something memorable and effective.
Experience
I’ve been involved in the design and marketing industries for more than 25 years — yes 25 years. During that time, I’ve gained loads of experience working on a variety of projects ranging from print to web, packaging to signage and nearly everything in between. That vast experience and expertise allows me to provide you with effective and efficient solutions.
Deliverables
A good portion of my work involves designing tangible items like logos, print collateral, web design, packaging, advertising, branded environments and a great many other things, across all kinds of media. However, that doesn’t mean that I sell a commodity. In other words, I don’t have a storeroom full of “solutions” just waiting for your logo. Instead, I offer a valuable, results-oriented service, which when executed properly, helps your business and brand succeed.
